You'd think for someone who never wanted my children's birthdays to coincide with major holidays or anniversaries, etc.; and also that I am one of the lucky people who could probably time conception down to the minute....You'd think I would have timed the birthdays of two of my children better. What was I thinking having a child 6 days after another? I guess it didn't help that this little smooshy came like 11 days early!
It seems that even from the day Nouvelle was born she has been trying to keep up and catch up with her sisters.
And for a newly three-year-old I'd say she does very well holding her own!
"Lucky" for me I was already planning on breaking down and letting go of all that I stand for in this world ;) by giving Nouvelle a Cinderella themed birthday; because that is what she ended up asking for! Why does she have to be obsessed with what I consider to be one of the worst Disney princesses ever? Not that I really am found of princesses in general anyway (if you haven't already caught onto this with me). But once again, love makes us do crazy things. And never say never, right?
We made sure to get her an oversized cinderella balloon and the first thing she asked was "where's her coach?"
Music to my ears as I had spent the night before making her cake into this:
We went to the library for story/puppet time, where Nouvelle was now just barely old enough to go in by herself. What a thrill that was for her! Then we explored the Historical Farm Museum where Nouvelle in all her gregariousness gathered sticks, dug in the dirt, climbed tractors, pet the sheep and chased after her sisters.
I love this little ham! I love her enthusiasm, her zest for life, her humor, her liveliness. She is ever entertaining us, making us laugh, driving us crazy, keeping us on our toes, and making our world just all the more better for being in it! I just love the energy she brings to this family.
Nouvelle believed that a miniture Cinderella was inside the cake and was a bit concerned when we started to cut the cake! I love how these little brains work!
I think three years old is one of my favorite ages for little kids. So I'm so glad that we finally get to experience Nouvelle at this enchanting and thoroughly entertaining age. She's already delightful and amuzing enough as it is so I can't wait to see what three brings!
