I don't think I would ever sign up for a one mile race, but *thanks* to the race series we are signed up for we got the chance to participate in the Derby Street One Mile Race.
I guess a one mile race is a good thing to do once in awhile. I can officially say what my fastest miles is now.
Wasn't feeling up this one though. Long gone are the days of track coaches who tell me what to do and how to run a race. I don't even honestly remember any of their advice. I didn't know how to run this except just to go out about as fast as I thought I could and hold on for as long as possible!
I thought that this race would be the one that Justin could finally beat me in. I was so focused on not dying that I didn't even know if he was a head of me or not.
Turns out he.....
But he was close behind!
I DEFINITELY did NOT plan on getting this . . . .
I must admit, I'd like to do it again and see if I could go just a tad faster - on less jet lag and flu like symptoms next time maybe! ;)
