What do you get when you put over 8200 women on the streets of downtown Boston?
The Tufts 10k!
Oh and super congested running conditions.
But still a great time!
I decided late last night to run this race today. My good friend Rachel decided to be a rebel and run it as a bandit with me. I am so glad we decided to run this crazy, fun race!
Over 8200 runners - 99.99% of them women! It was actually quite an invigorating experience! You can just feel the estrogen flowing, can't you? I have never ran a race with so many people! It was an obstacle course of runners. Just trying to run a normal pace without getting stuck behind all the slower runners and walkers was quite a challenge and required energy. Good thing my only goal was to have fun and run with my friend. If I'd had a time goal I would have been uber-frustrated trying to get by everyone!
Thanks to my fabulous husband who watched 5 kids in a chaotic sea of spectators (and managed to keep all of them alive) during his lunch break (extended lunch break).
I must say it wasn't my fastest race (not my slowest either though), but it was definitely one of my more enjoyable ones! Thanks Rachel for making me have a good time on a race for once!

Congrats to you AND Justin... how did he do it! I'm glad you are creating great memories in Boston.

So cool! I would definitely have been a bit peeved at trying to steer my way through the crowd of estrogen, but it looks like a great time!
